What to Do

We stayed at Sugar Beach a year ago for our honeymoon. It was during the height of the COVID, so we did not leave the resort much. With the water activities, spa, restaurants, nightly live entertainment and social events for guests we had plenty to do.

Rainforest Spa – The spa treatment rooms here are incredibly unique treehouses built on stilts high above the ground overlooking the mountains and the rainforest. After our couples massage we enjoyed lunch on our treehouse terrace that included fresh local foods, fruits, tea, and sparkling wine.

Pitons – Climb the Gross Piton for an extremely difficult yet rewarding 2,619 foot experience that provides breathtaking views. The total hike takes about 4 hours and includes some steep inclines and rock climbing. We had an amazing local guide who climbs the mountain several times per day. She was invaluable in navigating the route and keeping us safe. The way up was quite intense, but coming down even more intense. Renting hiking sticks and packing lots of water is a must! Another hike option is the Petite Piton, a 2,461 ft climb. While the Petite Piton is the smaller of the two mountains it is a much more difficult climb and is intended for experience climbers.

Water activities – Sugar Beach offers plenty of complimentary water actives such as paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling etc. There are also many additional activities such as deep sea fishing, scuba diving, whale and dolphin watching, etc. We did the sunset cruise, which was magnificent. We met some really nice friends who joined us on our private catamaran and we even had a school of dolphins that stayed with us while we sailed out.

Sandy Hoofs St. Lucia – an unforgettable timeless way to explore St.Lucia on horseback.

Treetop Canopy Adventure – Explore the rainforest by zipline!

Sulphur Springs St.Lucia – The mud baths attract people from around the world because they are known for detoxifying the body, healing sunburn, clearing up eczema, and soothing sore joints.

Diamond Fall Botancial Gardens – There are many waterfalls to visit in St. Lucia, but Diamond Falls is a six acre award winning tourism site with beautiful botanical gardens, a must see water fall that changes color through the year due to rainwater and volcanic minerals that flow down falls, and on site mineral baths. Here you can also enjoy the Old Mill and Waterwheel Restaurant or explore the Soufrière Estate.

Project Chocolat – Chocolate lovers will enjoy a unique immersive experience Explore the cacao groves in the rainforest. Learn about ethical cacao growing, see the cacao bean from seedling to chocolate and, and handcraft your own chocolate bar. You will also discover cacao cuisine, street style food, craft cocktails, and even beauty products.
